Reviews and Ratings
This hotel in the far north of Japan exceeded my expectations with its deep immersion into Japanese culture and exceptional dining experience. The onsen bath in the room was perfect for relaxation, and the spacious, well-designed rooms catered perfectly for our family. However, the limited English spoken by staff can be a bit challenging for some guests. I can't wait to return!
I had a great experience at this hotel. The location between the post office and petrol station was surprisingly peaceful, and the modern Japanese room I stayed in was both clean and comfortable. The onsen on the balcony was a delightful touch, making it a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. While the dining options were decent, the buffet could use some improvement. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're exploring the Shiretoko-Utoro area.
Staying at this hotel was a memorable experience, especially with the breathtaking views of the drift ice. The onsen was enjoyable, and the breakfast buffet offered a great variety of high-quality food. However, we faced some initial issues with room amenities being set for only two instead of three guests, and it took time to get this adjusted. Overall, the long journey to the hotel was worth it for the stunning scenery.
This hotel was a highlight of my trip in Hokkaido, offering a traditional onsen experience that felt like a luxurious retreat. The room I stayed in was spacious and provided a stunning view of the harbor and the Sea of Okhotsk, making it hard to leave. The service was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to assist, though they could sometimes be a bit reserved. Dining was a delightful experience with a fantastic breakfast spread, but something about the buffet dinner felt missing. Overall, the hotel is a perfect blend of comfort and scenic beauty, making it excellent value for money.
We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The Sea View Twin room we booked was recently renovated and offered stunning views over the harbor. While there were a few communication hiccups with the front desk regarding our room setup, the delicious venison dinner and the facilities, like the laundry room, were appreciated. Although it came at a higher price, the experience was well worth it, especially given the excellent onsen and scenic surroundings.
